Grandmother outruns young mugger

Okay, so not just any grandmother.  The grandmother of British sprinter Simeon Williamson, a 100m qualifier for next month’s Olympics.  Pearline Williamson had her purse stolen while shopping but chased the purse snatcher down.

“The thief must have thought I was an easy touch because I’m elderly”

Not only did she catch the young woman, but she fought to get her purse back:

“She said she hadn’t taken it at first, so I shook the life out of her until she finally gave it back.”

This woman just became my favorite Olympic grandmother ever.
