This is so wildly endearing.

I’m so glad this is up!

Taran Killam wins the internet.

Perfection.

Such a great week for Taran Killam (this, Community holiday special).  Love the guy working through the entire video.

link Need a little Olympic pick-me-up?

Like me, a lot of you are probably going through Olympic withdrawal this week.  So to tide you over until Michael Phelps hosts Saturday Night Live next month, here are the absolutely brilliant new mascots for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Yes, one of them is a sasquatch—a sasquatch who loves hockey and photography!  If you really need a smile today, please just scroll over his picture to hear him say his name.  And if you’ve got a few minutes to kill, check out this couple minute video about them.

News about The Office ‘spinoff’ and SNL news

According to Variety, Amy Poehler of Saturday Night Live fame, will be joining the cast of the new show from the creators of The OfficeThe Office has long been one of my favorite shows and I’ve loved Poehler in everything I can think of at the moment (SNL’s Weekend Update, Baby Mama, Blades of Glory).  Okay, maybe not the recurring skit about the one-legged girl, but still, there’s always some bad skits on SNL.

The only other cast member announced, Aziz Ansari of Human Giant fame, seems excited.  And knowing that two hilarious people are already involved with the show makes me feel like this isn’t going to be the duffle bag full of suck it could have been.

In other random SNL news, my coworker Paul and I were tooling around through the WOLV archive and found a couple short films by current SNL cast member (and Superbad cop) Bill Hader.  At first we didn’t believe it was the same one but the host definitely mentions Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is Hader’s hometown.  Check it out here (scroll to the 1:19 mark - warning: it’s copied in from VHS so the quality is really low, plus there’s audio issues.

Great to see early work of one of the brilliant minds behind Laser Cats!
